Our Mission:

The purpose of the Fauquier Free Clinic is to provide primary health care to uninsured individuals and families residing in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties with a special effort to include all children.

Program Description:

Volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses, and administrators keep the clinic in operation. We provide health care to uninsured residents of Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties, mostly working poor families who earn a little too much to qualify for federal assistance. The need is tremendous: we have seen over 22,000 patients since we opened our doors.

  • We provided 1,803 free doctor visits in the Primary Care Medical Clinic.
  • 253 patients received Emergency Dental Care.
  • Our work was accomplished with the help of over 200 volunteers.
  • Because of tremendous volunteer support the clinic was able to provide free health care services worth over three quarters of a million dollars.
  • Since opening our doors in 1993, the Clinic has provided over 19,500 free doctor visits & 2,600 free dental visits.
  • The Patient Care Coordinator assisted patients in applying for thousands of dollars in free Pharmacy Assistance Programs for which they were eligible.
  • All told, the Free Clinic provided our patients with prescription drugs valued at over $500,000.
