Walkers should choose the 5K and need to start in the back so that nobody gets tripped up at the start. This event will be chip timed. You will be given a small chip to tie into your shoelaces. Our computers will start timing you when you cross the starting mat, and stop your clock when you pass through the finish chute. You MUST return the chip in the buckets provided, or the clinic will have to pay for your chip! Please turn your chip in to the friendly race volunteers when you finish your run.Water will be available on the course. 5K runners will find water before mile 2. 10K runners will find water at mile 2.5 and again at mile 5. Hot weather can be dangerous… drink plenty of fluids! There are no cash prizes in this race. Trophies will go to the top male and female finishers in the 5K and the 10K races.
