Rappahannock Rough Ride

Saturday, September 20, 2014 – 10:00 a.m.

Take a ride through the hills of Rappahannock County in this popular bicycle event that draws participants from around the region. Multiple route options range from a family friendly 12 mile loop through Little Washington and Flint Hill, two paved/unpaved road Rough Ride options to the full 63 mile paved route.  Early registration is $40 adults, $30 children, includes food, t-shirt, and support.

Register online to guarantee that you receive the coveted “Rough Rider” t-shirt, and get your online discount!

Ride day entry fees are $50 adults and $30 children under 12 (still a bargain compared to the other rides in the area) and all riders now receive a full lunch upon return to the start/finish.  Rest stop food and drink will also be available just like always.

You must be checked in by 9:30 am.  Onsite registration is available on ride day but must also be done by 9:30 am.  We start at the Washington Virginia Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 10 Firehouse Lane, Washington, VA 22747.

You can view the routes here:

This event is a fundraiser for the patients of the Fauquier and Rappahannock Free Clinics.  All pre-registered participants get a free Rough Ride t-shirt.  We will also be selling Rough Ride hats ($20) as well as high quality cycling jerseys ($75) with the Rough Ride logo and graphics.  You can order the jerseys when you check in at the ride.  Hats are gone once we run out. They look great!

Hungry?  Your entry fee covers rest stop snacks and drinks as well as a lunch waiting for you at the finish.  Breakfast will be available at the fire hall for an additional $8 cash.  All proceeds from meals support our friends at the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
